Elie Wiesel the author of the book "Night" and Nobel Peace Prize Winner of 1986. He was born in in the town of Sighet, near present day Romania, In 1928. During World War II he, his family, and the other Jews in his area were sent to German concentration camps, he was liberated in 1945, in Buchenwald.
